yea my mom works in a nail salon haha. I asked her that too she told me because it was easy to learn and most of the overseas Vietnamese don’t have time to go to school so they choose this kind of job. Plus, a lot of Vietnamese people work in nail salons already, why don’t just work with them? And yes, sometimes they are talking about you but not always and it’s usually something good like "she’s pretty". something like that.

I know,, but sometimes its Japanese or Chinese people. But they’re good at what they do so I don’t worry.
But whenever I mention it,, my friend said I’m racist.
And then when they speak they’re language really quiet,, I wonder if they’re talking to me lol

becouse a while ago ( like 20 years ) a lady from america went to vietnam and taught the women there manicuring ( to get them to b able to make money here ) and sense they were desperate for money there prices were super low, so everyone went to them instead of the salons that had been there. after their salons became so popular more and more of them started coming, and still charging almost nothing putting ( the "white" salons outta buisness )

wasn’t that on seinfeld a couple of years ago? i’ve heard about that, maybe try a hispanic neighboorhood saloon next time, at least then you’ll KNOW they’re talking about you! (lol)
