What is the English translation for the Vietnamese name “Vy?”?
My husband is Vietnamese but born in the states, and I love the sound of this name and am thinking of naming our daughter Vy, but neither of us know the meaning of it. Does anyone know?

Om my goodness, that’s actually my name. My mom says that my name doesn’t have a meaning though. But she liked it anyway. I’m the only one with this name, other then this other girl I know. So if you want your daughter to have an original name, then name her Vy. Then I’ll know another person has the same name as me. My english name is Vivian,my mom says Vivian is the english translation of this name, Vivian means "alive". But everyone just calls me Vy, because it’s shorter, and most of them forget my english name is Vivian. Good luck
