Out of curiosity are the Vietnamese more tolerate towards interracial dating than other types of Asians. Also what are Vietnamese Men like, especially when it comes to culture and what not? Do they prefer the traditional lifestyle in which woman stays at home, man works? Do they marry early. I am just trying to find out some basic information about Vietnamese Culture.

I also know that this guy who likes me is 23 and he has been over in the States for quite some time, however he does still have an accent and speak Vietnamese. He told me in Vietnam how lighter skin is prized versus a darker complexion, however he always tells me how beautiful my color is and jokingly said that we'd make some cute 'blasian babies, haha

I may or may not be going to Vietnam for a year to do volunteer work so was wondering how hard it would be to learn the language.

I have 3 months before I may be in country. Could I learn to a basic conversational level in that time?

I can speak some spanish so am not a new language virgin if that makes sense.
