In Vietnam, we eventually pulled out and South Vietnam was left hanging in the wind, and the resulting aftermath of atrocities committed by the North Vietnamese Army on the South Vietnamese civilians is well documented. Dialogue with Iran, Syria and N. Korea, Iraq turning into another Vietnam, Our Troops being let down by constant mistakes and bad descisions.

I could nearly become a Republican myself, if Hagel would succeed in getting rid of these NEOCONS in the White House.

My first love died in Iraq in 2003. Since then I've wanted a tattoo to remember him. I want a word or phrase like "first love" "bravery" "soldier" something along those lines...but I dont know how to write them in Vietnamese. Help!

I’m talking out of gratitude but both my father and I have been to Iraq and he was also in Vietnam and we were talking about how the Public is treating Soldiers better coming from Iraq then they did out of Vietnam. This time around there are no baby killer comments and we aren’t being seen as murders I was just curious what everyone thought the difference was in regards to the Military.

I cant speak for all Service Members but I can honestly say that more then half of us realize that speaking out against the war doesn’t translate in our heads as speaking out against Soldiers and is usually not taken as a hit against us or our chosen profession.
