a couple years ago my dad rented this war movie on vietnam from netflix. its about apachi indians and the army uses their language to communicate on the battlefield. im not sure if this will ring any bells but near the end the main indian guy is walking and this guy with a bayonette comes to stab him in the back and the indian pulls a sword out and chops the guys head off. also when they go to sleep the indian do a ritual that is supposed to bless all the men and keep them from dying. i think the movie is like "winds of ____" and i cant think of whats after.
thx

What was the result of the 1972 Christmas bombings of North Vietnam?

1. They broke the deadlock in the peace talks and got the North Vietnamese to agree to terms.

2. They caused the People's Republic of China to send a large army to North Vietnam to fight the United States.

3. They destroyed all chance of a negotiated peace because Le Duc Tho walked out of the Paris peace talks in protest.

4. They brought Nixon close to defeat in his bid for reelection in 1972.

He was aged between 18 & 22 in the army on the DMZ in Korea and Viet Nam. I was a little kid when he went in. I remember he brought the medals home but has refused to speak of what ever happened to earn them. I know he thought I was too young then. I'm nearly 50 and I want to know what my brother went through. His boot camp was at Fort Bragg,N.C. in 1967. He then went straight to Nam.

I want to learn Vietnamese.?

My wife is Vietnamese and she speaks Viet fluently. I am in the Army and if I learn Vietnamese I can take a proficiency test and make anywhere between -0 extra every month. And i only have to take the test once a year. I dont even have to USE the language ever. Just test on it is all. I get Rosetta Stone free from the Army and its helping a lot, but Im trying to find like a class or something I can take. No schools offer Vietnamese. Does anyone have any ideas?
By the way, I live in Denver CO.... I guess thats pretty important lol.
Im also interested in a Study Abroad... Maybe. Depending on price and length. But thats for later on!
I went to the VPS website and found the downloads link but cant find where to actually download it at.

What really happened in vietnam?

I have an uncle who was an MP in the army from GA in vietnam. He never really talks about what happened to him.He came back injured I know he has a limp and had something happen to his throat in which he has a hard time speaking.Just wondering if anyone has any stories about what might have happened? There are stories about him having his throat stomped which caused the injuries to his throat.

I bought 2 AVAB study books. I just want to know if there is anyone faced with this problem out there? Can you give me some advice and tips about preparing for the test. My husband is smart he just doesn't comprehend some of the Vocabulary used in sentences and therefore gets confused on what to answer. He is studying but I just wanted to know if anyone has faced this problem. He so wants to join the ARMY!!!!!!

I had this dream where a white guy from the army was speaking in Vietnamese to my mom...and my mom was talking in Vietnamese to him but she spoke in Cantonese to me. How is that I do not speak Vietnamese but people were speaking in Vietnamese in my dream? Well I can count some numbers in Vietnamese and that's about it.
