   As trade and commerce with Vietnam expands, it will become important. The fortunate thing is that there are so many intelligent, world-wise Vietnamese citizens and emigres who speak both their native tongue as well as foreign languages well, so it may not be so necessary for foreigners to learn Vietnamese. Learning about Vietnamese culture and etiquette, however, is necessary to grasp doing business and making new acquaintances in the country.
